30 Hour Famine

Roughly one person dies every three seconds due to hunger; however, for only $1 we can feed a child for a day. The Melrose church will be teaming up with World Vision for our own 30 hour famine on May 23rd and 24th in order to raise money for hungry people around the world.

During the 30 hour famine, the teens will join at the building for 30-hours without food. While raising money for those in need, we hope also to grow in compassion as we get just a little taste of hunger. We extend an invitation to everyone to participate in the famine with us from your own homes, join us at the building to break the fast, and give as generously as you're able. The "break-fast" will be Sunday morning at 9:30, May24th, at the building followed by a lesson sharing some of what we have learned in the process.
